News
This is the Hot GE Item report, where I take out the guesswork of investing your money into the Grand Exchange. Let's take a look at recent news that might be effecting the market, starting with...
A new quest called Ritual of the Mahjarrat was just released this week! Many will be completing the quest this weekend, so items that revolve around rewards and requirements for the quest will go up.
Rewards for this quest includes a new type of magic rune, new spells, and other magic-based updates. For this reason, you can imagine that people will want to test out these new damaging spells once the quest is completed.
As a result, there will be a rise in magic weapons and equipment this weekend. Here are my predictions on items that you should invest in and sell early next week.
P2P Items
Staff of Light
Reasoning: Gives the highest percentage of magic damage bonus next to the dungeoneering magic staff. It also has a special attack that reduces an opponent's melee hits by 50%. This would be the weapon of choice for players that wish to test out the new quest spells.
Infinity Gear (Hat, Robe top, Robe Bottom)
Reasoning: This is a maging gear of choice. Many people by the set because there aren't many maging sets that provide boots and gloves. So these will be in high demand both by people buying them individually, and by people who are buying them to turn them into sets. It's better to invest in this than Ahrim's gear, because Infinity Gear has a 4 hour buying limit of 100, as opposed to the 4 hour buying limit of 10 that Ahrims gear has.
F2P Items
Anti-Dragon Shield
Reasoning: It is almost necessary to have an anti-dragon shield in the Ritual of Mahjarrat quest. More people will be buying up this item during the weekend for questing, and the demand for this item will rise.
Hard Leather
Reasoning: 77 crafting is a requirement for the Ritual of Mahjarrat quest. Using Hard Leather is a popular means of training at lower to mid crafting levels. You can expect the demand for Hard Leather to rise throughout the weekend.
