Killing Unicorns

Written by: Chef Moobman

Background

This is a guide for members with a combat level of 60+ for quick runs without food. It makes around 250K-350K and is a good combat and money method for level 60-70 players. Use your second best armour and a good high-hitting weapon. You could take your best armour but in-case of Revenants I would recommend you take one item of food e.g. Tuna, lobster or a trout.

Procedure

Now that you are fully equipped you can head off to level 12 of the wilderness, on the west side of the green hill (see image below)

Now that you are here you can start killing the unicorns they group in this area (image below)

You should be able to kill 28 in about 8-10 minutes. Once you kill them they drop unicorn horns (90% of the time) they are worth 2k each.

You will need to bank every so often. Luckily, there is a deposit box located SO CLOSE to the unicorn area. Simply head west to stealing creation mini-game and deposit in the deposit box in the center of the mini-game area (image below) then just repeat this process for HUGE money in little time.

Profits

They are a stable item so not much flux in the market and there is always a demand as these are used in Herblore to make Anti-poison potions.

Once you have a full inventory (each inventory is worth 57k average price). For a level 60, it's possible to kill 3 unicorns per minute. That's about 28 horns every 8-10 minutes.

Let's take a look at our hourly profits table for a level 60 player:

Hourly Expenditure (Total Value = 1,000)

Hourly Gains (Total Value = 309,000)

Item

Qty

Value

Item

Qty

Value

Lobster

5

1000

Unicorn Horn

150

309,000

Since lobsters don't act as much of an expenditure, the total profits of this method average 300K for a level 60.

Obviously, the money you make with this method depends on your combat level. For level 80's, you will be able to kill 1 more unicorn per minute. For level 100's and above, maybe 2 more unicorns per minute. So it's 50% more profits per hour for level 80s, and 100% more profits for levels higher than 100.

Btw Shad,
This method is good, but it's been in the public for a year, so the prices are bound to change.

Dap,

This method has been out for that long yes. But this is one of those items which are in constant need in herblore. So with that being said, the prices should never really go below 1,750.....1,500 max.
