Potion Guide to Millions: 1M GP Per Hour

This guide will explain how you can use herblore to make millions of GP per day. This method requires at least 30+ herblore and 8-15 mil. You will need to investment a good deal of money at first, but the wise investments will pay off in the profits made through this method.

The best way to do this is to open two tabs of the runescape Grand Exchange database. In one window, type in “potion(unf)” and in the other window type in “Clean”. You will get something like this:

What we are looking for is price gaps between the herbs and the unfinished potions.
To get a nice clear view of what you might invest in, simply search the GE of the herb you would like to make unf potions out of. For instance when I typed in “ranarr” in the search box, I came up with this:




Now that we know how to work efficiently with the GE, we can get started.

Viewing the two open tabs of the GE, it seems like the rannar potion(unf) is looking very good!

If you buy 1000 Clean Ranarr (8.8 mil + 1k of vial of water comes out to be 8.84mil), and make them into Ranarr potion(unf). You then come out with a total profit of 380,000. However, you can make more then 2k Ranarr potion(unf) in one hour. That’s around 800k an hour! These potions are vary valuable to the RS community, so they are always in demand.

These potions are a nice wave item, so if the value drops drastically on the potion you were going to make, then just wait a little while until they go back up. This often results in double profits! If you see here, the ranarr potions are raising 232 gp a day, if you bought your clean ranarr pots, made your potions, and waited a day, then you could gain almost double amount in profits!

You can apply this method to any herb. Just make sure that the price difference from the herb and the unfinished potion is more than 300gp, or else it probably wouldn’t be worth your while.
Now unfortunately the Clean ranarr isn’t the best herb to work with. As you can see, it is rising drastically. It might be hard to get your hands on them while they continue on that trend. If you go through and look closely at the herbs, you might find a situation like this:



Now even though this might look a little discouraging at first, there is a big price difference, around 400 gp price difference! What you would do, is you would buy as much clean toadflax as you can (preferably more than 2k), a little under the mid price, make the pots as soon as possible, and bank them. Remember, you can easily make 2k pots an hour.

You can now do two things here, you can either keep them until the toadflax price goes back up, or sell them mid price or a little below mid price. The reason you can sell them at the price, is because toadflax potions(unf) are VERY popular in the herblore community of trainers. These potions are used for training herblore to get to level 99, which is a huge achievement. This requires a lot of potions. And if this trainer isn’t getting any of his toadflax potions, then he will even buy above mid price. This ensures that toadflax potions will always be a great item to make or invest in.

Say it takes you 8.4 mill to buy 2k toadflax, and you convert all of those into potions unfinished. You end up with 800k! With a little practice toying with the GE and patience, you can easily make a million gp an hour.
