Background:

Snake hides are an item that have sold for a fair amount in the past. With the arrival of the Summoning skill, the price of snake grew significantly due to its demand as a secondary-ingredient used to summon the Spirit Cobra familiar.

Due to the high demand of snake hide, and the fact that its difficult for the average player to obtain them (having to do multiple quests, requiring high combat level for quick gathering), snake hides have been valuable and priced quite high.

Even then, snake hides use to be a hassle to gather. However, a deposit chest recently emerged near a snake spawn that makes killing snakes and storing their hide much easier than before. This guide will teach you how to tap into this method in order to effectively gain tons of money every hour from killing snakes.

Method:

To get to Mos'le Harmless, you must talk to Bill Teach who is located at Port Phasmatys, or by using the charter ships at Port Sarim.

If you are using charter ships, they can be found at the southern part of Port Sarim. Select the Charter option on the people know as Trade Crewmembers. A map like the one shown below will pop-up, simply select Mos Le'Harmless (note: you must have completed Cabin Fever quest to access this area).

You will arrive at the port of Mos Le'Harmless. Run north and go into the bank.

While you are here grab melee gear and 3 anti-poison potions. You can also take 2-3 food if you are scared of the Jungle Horrors. However, it's very unlikely that someone with 70+ defense will need food.

Snakes are not very strong, so equipping just a chest armor and a weapon will suffice. This will allow you to run around more, therefore you will be able to kill more snakes per hour. Food shouldn't be necessary, as snakes can rarely hit someone with defense above 70s.

Once you are geared up and ready to go, follow the map below to go to the snake location that is right next to a deposit chest (and one with no aggressive Jungle Horror monsters to pester you, whew!). You'll know you're in the right direction when you see the red-star for the Trouble Brewing mini-game on your mini-map

There are a couple snakes in the area. Below is an image on their general locations. Although there are three snakes in the area, number three isn't worth it because its so far away from the other two, making it a waste of run power. The best strategy is to go back and forth from snake 1 and 2, as their respawn times really aren't that long.

Once your inventory becomes full with snake hides, deposit them in the deposit chest. It is conveniently located right next to the snakes.

If you notice your supplies are running low, run back to the bank to resupply yourself. Watch out for those Jungle Horrors!
