Safely Gain EP in PVP Worlds

Having EP (earning potential) is crucial to getting good loot from kills in PvP worlds. You might kill someone with full rune but discover that all you got as loot when he died was a adamant mace and some fish. On the flip side, if you had a lot of EP, you might kill someone who was wearing full rune and get an ancient artifact worth 1,000,000 GP.

It all depends on your EP percentage. On F2P and P2P worlds, it's difficult to raise EP as you can only do it in fighting areas and you may get attacked out of nowhere. This method will teach you how to safely gain EP, even if you decide to leave the computer for a few minutes.

Location, Location, Location

1. Start off by acquiring the necessary items that with allow you to have a successful EP raising session. Take a minimum risk of 25K if you are F2P, and 75K if you are P2P. Also take a few food and a teleport to Lumbridge.

2. Position your character at a PvP hotzone where not many players go to. Good hiding areas include the second or third floors of buildings that not many people would go out to. My personal favorite is the roof of the Varrock castle, as not many people know of its existence (or how to get there for that matter). Here are the directions:


a. Go to the Varrock Palace main entrance.




b. Climb up the stairs




c. Head towards the little room at the south east corner of the castle's second floor. There's a ladder in the room - climb it.




d. Head to the north-east corner of the room. This is furthest away from the entrance to the roof, so if anyone comes to check out the roof, they wont see you unless they venture out onto the roof.




e. You will patiently increase your EP here once you log into a PvP world.

3. Log out and go to the main page of Runescape. Go to language-specific worlds.



Click on the flag of Portugal to go to the Portuguese language worlds.



4. Select their PvP worlds. Note that there are much fewer players on these worlds when compared to the amount of players on the English-language worlds.



The PvP worlds on the English server have about 1000 people.




The PvP world on a Portuguese language server has only about 100 people. Less people means a less chance of someone going to odd places like the Varrock castle roof. They will tend to all be at one place where they know they can fight each other.

5. Log-in and gain EP. There are so few people in these worlds that the chances are slim for someone coming to far-off hideout zones AND having the combat level to attack you.

Now that you know the secrets to gaining EP without disruption, you will be able to gain tons of EP and maximize the loot from your PvP kills.
