Eagles' Peak

Have you ever wanted to be able to catch a ferret?
Doing this quest will allow you to be able to catch them and you will have an adventure of a lifetime!
It is time to move on!

Description: The Ardougne Zoo is always looking for new specimens, but one of their anticipated new attractions - a ferret from the north - has been proving elusive.

One of the Zoo's more eccentric freelance specimen hunters is reported to be on the case, but after setting out for the far western reaches, somewhere between the Piscatoris Fishing Colony and the Tree Gnome Stronghold, nothing more has been heard from him.

Will you be able to use your skills as a Hunter to track him down?

What else will you discover at the mountain known as Eagles' Peak?

Difficulty: Novice

Length: Short

Requirements: 27 Hunter

Items needed: Yellow dye, swamp tar, 50 coins

Recommended items: Varrock teleport, Ardougne teleport

Monsters to kill: Kebbit (level 13)

Rewards: 2 Quest points, 2.5K Hunter XP, ability to capture ferrets and access to fly the eagles from Eagles' Peak

1. First talk to Charlie who is one of the keepers of Ardougne Zoo.

He will say that a northern ferret escaped from its cage.

He wants a replacement and wants you to go to a huntsman called Nickolaus who is in Eagles' Peak.

2. Now go West of Eagles' Peak.

Nickolaus won't be there but there will be some books next to the tent.

Inspect the books and you will get a bird book.

Open the book and you will get a silver feather.

3. Use the silver feather on the rocky outcrop which is just East of the tent and on top of Eagles' Peak.

There will be a feathered journal in the cave which you can pick up but it is not needed in the quest.

Go South and you will see Nickolaus on the other side of a ledge who is next to a giant eagle!

A cut scene will occur.

4. He will tell you to get a disguise.

Be sure to pick 10 eagle feathers (they're called giant feathers when they are on the floor) while you're in the cave.

For the disguise you will need 10 eagle feathers, 1 swamp taw ,1 yellow dye and 50 coins.

Teleport to Varrock and talk to the fancy-dress shop owner in the fancy-dress shop (not to be confused with Thessalia's shop).

He will happily make the disguise for you.

He will give you 2 sets of eagle capes and fake beaks.

Go back into the Eagles' Peak dungeon and speak to Nickolaus.

He will tell you to bring the disguise to him.

You will have to find a way to give them to him.

5. To the South of the dungeon there will be a stone door with an eagle painted on it.

You will need a way of opening it.

You will need a silver, bronze and gold feather to unlock the door.

6. Go West of the stone door to get the bronze feather.

Try to take the feather from the pedestal but a net trap will lift it out of reach.

Operate the 4 winches that are in the room and the pedestalwill be freed.

Take the bronze feather from the pedestal.

7. Go North to find the silver feather.

There will be an empty pedestal in the room.

Inspect it and it should reveal a group of paw prints.

Inspect the rocks that are the closest to the paw prints and more paw prints should appear..

Keep on repeating until you are leaded to another cave.

As soon as you enter the cave a level 13 Kebbit will attack you.

Kill it and it will drop the silver feather!

8. Take the top entrance to the East to find the golden feather.

Just to warn you this is probably the hardest bit of the quest but if you follow my instructions it should be easy.

There will be several stone gates blocking your way and you need to somehow open them.

To get the golden feather do these things:

-Take 6 handfuls of bird seed.

-Put the bird seed in the West feeder.

-Pull the North leaver.

-Go through the East barrier which is South of the entrance.

-Put bird seed in the first feeder you find.

-Go South then East and put bird seed in there.

-Go to the furthest East lever and pull it.

-Go North East and pull the leaver.

-Put seeds in the feeder just North of the lever.

-Then go West and pull the leaver.

-Go South and West and put seed in the furthest West feeder.

-Go East and put seed in the first feeder you come across.

-Get the feather from the pedestal.

Once you've gotten the feather you can open the door!

9. Put the feathers in the door one by one.

Now put on your fake beak and eagle cape or you will get hurt like poor me in the picture.

Go past the eagle and talk to Nickolaus.

Give him the disguise and he will tell you to meet him next to his tent.

Talk to him and he will teach you how to catch ferrets!

10. Now go back to Charlie and give him the ferret.

Congratulations quest complete!
