What is Pest Control: Pest control is run by the void knights who help serve guthix. The void knights found an island that is filled with four portals that evil creatures come out of the void knights need to destroy the portals at any cost.



Requirements: 40 Combat + for novice boat, 70 Combat + for intermediate, 100 Combat + for the veteran boat

How To Get There and What To Bring: As this is a safe mini game it is best to use your best amour/weapons you will not lose anything when you die. To get to pest control you have to talk to the squire in port Sarim it is the most south dock.




The Outpost

The outpost has a bank a rune shop, arrow shop, a black smith and a general store to buy and make items for battle.

The Game

The aim of the game is to secure the island there is two ways this can be done by protecting the void knight and what till he as destroyed the portals or destroy the portals your self this can be done by ranging or using mage at the towers or by attacking them in hand to hand combat. The portals have different hit point levels for each boat these are 200, 250, 300.Boats leave to the island every five minutes or when there is twenty five people in one boat. If the void knight is kill at any time you are on the island the game is lost and you get transported out of the island back to the outpost the points are score by the number hp you kill form animals you get 1 point is you get over 50hp the total of points you can get in each boat are 2 for novice boat, 3 for intermediate and 4 for the veteran boat when you enter the pest control island you will have a few icons on your screen.


The first icons show the time remaining 20 minutes in this game the amount of hp you have taking from opponents(0 in this picture) and finely the amount of hp the void knight has left if this falls to zero the game finishes in this picture the hp is fill 200hp.

These are the level of hp left on the portals all 200 in this picture. The half circles are the shields on the portals if these are gone you can attack the portals this happens randomly. The letters under neath the portal pictures are telling you where they are on the island (W+ west, E+ east, SE + south east and SW + south west).

The Creatures

There are many creatures some have a special traits that can effect you more then others.

All creatures can teleport but the shifters can teleport a further distance

The Rewards

Cashing in The Points:

You can exchange the points buy clicking "Exchange" on any of the Void Knights wandering around the Outpost

then a screen will come up looking like this:


Click on the point value below an item to get that reward. This will make the item name turn white and you will have to confirm your purchase by clicking on the "Confirm" button. Below this button can be found the number of points you have. You can only spend this much points till you points run out.
When you buy experience,you will be told how many points you have left and what you just trained up and how much exp you will get added to your total.





Things You Can Buy

Combat Experience:

One of the main reasons people play Pest Control is for the great combat experience you can gain these if a very fast way to train.
But the Void Knight will only train you in skills that you are level 25 and up. If you trade in 100 or more points at the same time, you will get an extra 10% added. You can get exp in attack, strength, defence , range, hit points and prayer is is thee best way to get hit points levels fast.

Void Knight Armor:
The Void Knights have been kind enough to let you buy some of there armor you need 42 Attack, Strength, Defense, Hit points, Magic and Ranged along with 22 Prayer to be able to buy them. The set consists of a mace a top a robe gloves and a seal

• Robe
• Gloves

These are great looking pieces of amour with not so great stats. Even though the stats aren't wonderful, the Mace is very handy because it can auto cast these spells

Herb Pack

A pack of herbs that are chosen randomly

Mineral Pack

25 noted Coal and 18 noted Iron all are ores

Seed pack

The seed packs may contain:

4 higher level seeds eg. Limpwurt or Watermelon.
11 lower level seeds eg. Onion.

Reward Limit

If you manage to get 250 points, then when you try to enter the boat you will be asked if you are sure that you want to board the boat.



This is because you can have a max of 250 points at a time, so you will have to buy some rewards or you will miss out on points.
