This guide is all about the Mini-Game The Great Orb Project. It will help you become a master of it and help you make HEAPS of cash, just by playing it!
REQUIREMENTS:
- 50 RuneCrafting
- Completed the "Rune Mysteries" quest
- Membership (for the Money-Making method)
GETTING THERE:
Either walk or teleport to Draynor and head south to the wizards tower. Go up the first flight of stairs and you will see a portal, click on it to enter.
Now you should see a room full of strange machinery, if so, you have just entered The Great Orb Project waiting room!
STARTING THE GAME:
In The Great Orb Project, you can choose out of 2 teams, Green, or Yellow. It is entirely up to you which team you choose, as they make no difference whatsoever. To join a random team, right click any wizard and select "join".

You will be randomly assigned to a team. To join a specific team, head over to eitherWizard Acantha (Green), or Wizard Vief (yellow).
You will receive a hat of your team's colour, an Attractor Wand, a Repeller Wand, and a Barrier Generator.

You should see a timer and two orbs at the bottom right hand of your screen, once the timer is up, it's time to enter the game so click on the portal to enter (marked with a flashing arrow).
PLAYING THE GAME

Once you enter, you will be teleported to the Air Altar. Wait a few seconds, and you will start to see green or yellow orbs appearing around the place.
It is your job to move the orb corresponding to you team's colour into the altar. You may use either the Attractor Wand, or the Repeller Wand to do this. Use the barrier generator to create a barrier that will not allow any of the other teams orbs through (barriers can be destroyed). THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT TEAMWORK and you MUST cooperate with your team.
That means at the begining of the game, try to decide on whether you want to be a repeller or attractor. Attractors are team members who bring in orbs for their team's altar. Repellers are team members who work to cast away the opponent's orbs, preventing the opposing team from getting more points. A half-half split of attractors and repellers on a team makes for a competitive team. Here are some strategies for each type of player.
Attractor Strategies:
- Stay near the altar, as you can easily pull in orbs from this position.
- Stand on one side of the altar and pull in orbs from the opposite side of the altar to make the orbs easily come into contact with the altar.
- A majority of attractors should stay near the altar, while a small group of attractors scatter about the map to pull in orbs near the altar.
Repeller Strategies:
- Repellers should try to scatter about.
- Mainly stick to where there are high concentrations of enemy orbs.
- 1-2 high level rune crafters should stay at altars to repel enemy orbs. These repellers can be seen as the "goalies" of the group.
Barrier Strategies:
- Anyone can cast barriers, and it's not advised more than 1-2 players do full time barrier tricks throughout the game.
- Create barriers close to the altar.
- Create barriers on sides you see a lot of enemy orbs are located.
- Put up barriers that would make it difficult for enemies to manuver past (ie. between those one spots located between two stone pillars leading to the altars)
Teams must have a balance of these players in order to gain strategically successful victories.
THE ALTARS
These are the altars in order of the rounds they appear in. It helps to familiarze yourself with each alter in order to gain a better understanding of how far, or what parts of the map a team should send their players to.
- Air
- Mind
- Water
- Earth
- Fire
- Body
- Chaos (Members Only)
- Nature (Members Only)
WINS, LOSSES, AND DRAWS
Once you have finished each of the above altars, you will receive an amount of tokens for each altar won/loss/draw. Here is the scenario if you won, draw, or last at all altars.
- Win: 100 tokens
- Draw: 25 tokens
- Loss: 10 tokens

You can spend these tokens on RuneCrafting Talismans, Altar Teleports, RuneCrafter Robes, and Rune (P2P Pure Essence) Essence. Speak to Wizard Elriss to exchange your tokens.
And there you have it! Your completed guide to playing The Great Orb Project. If you are P2P, read on to learn how to make money from this spectacular Mini-Game!

You ought to put something about water talismans. They cost 50 tokens each and sell for over 5k on the GE at the moment, so if you win all your games it's 650k an hour.
