Making Soft Clay

Making Soft Clay

You wouldn't think something so straight-forward and simple could generate such profits, but it can! This method is called Making Soft Clay. Whatever you may call it, make no mistake that it brings in large profits!

The method is ideal for the amount of money you currently have.

To start off, you need the following:

  • 1000-2000 Clay
  • 100 Buckets

If you don't have any clay, you can either mine it, or buy it from the Grand Exchange. Buckets (not to be confused with "Buckets of Water") can easily be bought from the Grand Exchange.

Don't be scared to scared to spend some money here, because once your are done with this method, you will multiply that first 100K! Buying 1k buckets is hard to buy and it also hurts your profits. For this reason, we will obtain 100 and refill them with water when necessary.

Now you will need to fill up all the buckets with water (even though jugs are used in these pictures, please ignore them and pretend they are buckets). Locate a place with water, such as a sink, fountain, or water pump that's near a bank. Withdraw 28 buckets from the bank.

Just use the bucket with a sink and they will all start to fill up automatically. Return the buckets to the bank and repeat the process. A good place is edgeville bank and the Well that is near the bank.

Then bank the buckets. Repeat this until all your buckets are filled with water.

Now, head over to any bank and withdraw 14 clay and 14 buckets of water in your inventory. Click on one of the Buckets or Jugs of Water and use them on one of the clay.

(Note: In this picture jugs of water were used, but they are more expensive and can hurt profits)

A little menu will appear on the chat box area. There you will see a picture of Soft Clay. Right click on it, and select "Make All".

Now, all the clay in your inventory is turning into Soft Clay! Keep doing this until you run out of jugs of water. Then just refill your jugs with water and finish turning all the clay into soft clay. And Viola! You have 1000 Soft Clay!

Guess what? These soft clays can be sold at the grand exchange for about 370 GP EA! And what's more is that members buy them very often, because it is something they use to gain fast EXP for their crafting skills. So you won't have to keep your trade up on the grand exchange for long before you are loaded with GP!

Congratulations, you just made your first almost 300K!

You're not done just yet though. Remember, we are aiming for 600k in this section. So here's the game plan. Use that 370K you've earned and buy 2K clay. Once you have the clay, turn them into soft clay using the method above. Then sell those 2K soft clay that you made and... BAM! 800K! It's as easy as that! You have money to proceed to the next section!

If you're concerned with the ammount of time it will take to buy the clay and make/sell the clay, perish the thought. It can all be done within a few hours easily! Turning 1k clay ores into soft clay took me about 1-2 hours, and doing the same for 2k clay took me less than 4 hours! We recommend that you stick to this method to get to 800K, as the profits are phenomenal.

Hate to say this, but Jagex removed Gnomecopters! You can still buy jugs of water from the same place, but there's no bank.

in shantys pass im pretty sure shanty sells jugs of water so buy them and u r almost directly next to the bank chest

Yay, nerds are cool said...

Shantay's shop is only available for members..I think the only way now is to either get jugs of water from G.E. or use buckets of water instead T.T

they got rid of the gnome copter deposit bank and replaced it with some guy named barfy bill, alternatively you can buy 100 jugs from the g.e. and 100 clay too, its only 3k - 5k extra, and fill ur jugs up 14 at a time and then proceed

I checked for 1k of jugs of water cost 22k (to much for me). Thought i found a new way. Go to Falador and buy 28 empty jugs in the grocery. You can fill it with the Waterpump who is next to the barber.
1.Deposit 14 jugs and withdraw 14 clay.
2.Repeat 1
3.Get all your empty jugs and refill your 28 jugs.
repeat 1.
And voila. Hope I helped

I'm pretty sure edgeville bank is fastest. You don't really need 100 buckets btw. 14 is fast enough imo.
