What is Investing?
Even before the Grand Exchange, investing in some way or the other has existed in Runescape. Its the idea that you can buy an item for a low price, and resell it later for a higher price. In the process, you make a profit.
In the old days, players would buy items from other players, and hop from world to world in order to buy more items. The prices were defined by how much players needed the said, item, and the prices circulating around in the Runescape forums. With the introduction of the Grand Exchange however, investing and merchanting has gotten a lot easier.
Invest Using the Grand Exchange
Since the introduction of the Grand Exchange, players could easily place an order and wait for it to be filled. This beats the investing methods before the Exchange, when people had to stand around banks and yell "BUYING COWHIDES 100EA - USERNAME!!!" over and over until they finally had enough of what they needed.

These days, players can simply buy cowhides on the Exchange. While its automatically buying, they could train other stats, quest or PvP. Then they can just wait for the price to go up on cowhides, and resell at the same ease! In the process, players make HUNDREDS of thousands of GP! And for what? For placing buy/sell orders that take just 2 minutes max! That's the ease of making money on the Grand Exchange.
How Can I Become a Grand Exchange Investor?
Now that you have realized the ease in which you could make money, you might be wanting to become an investor as well. Luckily for you, this multiple part guide will take you from a basic
investor and teach you the steps to become an advancedinvestor making millions a day, while only having to put in maybe 5-10 minutes of effort daily!
Here's what you need to before you begin:
Recommended 1M GP To Start Off Investing. Its best to have at least 1 million gp before going into invest because the more money you have, the more profits you gain. Also, keep in mind that if you don't play smart for some reason, you might lose some more here and there, but if you run into a slight loss while starting with 1 Million GP, then you won't even feel be a scratch in your path to multi-millions.
The more you invest, the more you profit. If you invest only 50K and make a 5% profit (meaning you buy an item, it goes up 5% in price, and you decide to sell it) then your profit will be about 2,500 GP. However, if you had invested 1M on the same item, and your profits go up by 5%, then you would have made a whopping 250k for around the same effort (all you had to do is place a buy order, and then a sell order).
Basic Grand Exchange Interface. Just know how buy an item and sell an item on the Exchange. You can learn from the Grand Exchange tutor, and he will cover all you need to know as far as interface goes.

Hehe keep up the good work Shad! Am investing in cowhides atm loll.. Just finished my fletching guide too. Check your emails
You did some amazing math tricks there. Want to explain how 5% of 50k is 2,500 and 5% of 1m is 250k? thats a 10000% difference when in fact the numbers are only 2000% different. If you multiply 1,000,000 by .05 (5%) you get 50k.
I agree, 10% of a million would be 100k, so 5% of a million would be half of that, which is 50k. Still... that's a big difference, 2.5k to 50k.
