Runescape Woodcutting Guide

Woodcutting is arguably the most profitable and easiest-to-train skills in F2P. It brings in a lot of money with relatively fast and easy training. Woodcutting is great for those who want to make a ton of money without always having to tend to the game. In the later levels when woodcutting starts pouring out money, you won't even have to watch the screen while your player hacks away at a tree getting multiple yew logs.
Needed items: Axe (depending on your Wood Cutting level)
Remember: Upgrade your axe whenever you reach the ability to use a better one!
One of the simplest ways in Runescape to make money is cutting trees. For example, imagine you chopped 1000 Yew logs (possible to do in one day), how much money can you make from that?
Lets do the math. Yew logs are approximately 450GP each, and if you have 1000 of them, then...
1000 Yew logs X 461 GP = 461,000gp!
That's almost HALF A MILLION GP!! And that can be done withing one day of easy woodcutting!
The rest of this guide will teach you where and when to train your levels in woodcutting, so you ca be on your way to a higher Woodcutting level.
Levels 1-15
Start out with the best axe you can use. All you have to do is cut Normal Trees once you have 97 logs you should be on level 15 woodcutting. You can either burn the logs (and get firemaking level up) or bank them(make some money). If you bank them, I would cut just out of the East entrance to Varrock. It’s right next to a bank, and there lots of trees.
Levels 15-30
At this point start cutting oaks, which are fairly common in Runescape. You can find them all over runescape near the east bank in varock and in draynor. But the best place to cut trees again is varock, near the east bank. Keep cutting oak trees to level 30. You will reach level 30 woodcutting after collecting 293 oak logs.
Levels 30-70
Now this is the biggest leap of all to get to 70, to get to that level quick you have to cut willows. You get 67.5xp per log and you have to chop a staggering 3858 logs. Although at level 60 you gain the ability to cut yews, its best to keep cutting willows because yews tend to take a long time to cut. The best place to cut willow trees is south west of the Draynor Bank, where the willow trees are lined up for your leveling near the water.
Levels 70+
If you made it to this point, then congratulations, its time to start raking on some mad money! Its time to start cutting some yews. They are quite rare around Runescape and lots of other people want them to make money from and you will to 461gp each!!! Good money when stacked. The best spot for yews in Runescape (f2p) is in Lumbridge 4 Yew trees which not too many people go to. And the lumbridge bank is nearby. A better spot yet is the two trees behind Varrok castle, because the Grand Exchange bank is to the near west of them. However, the spot tends to be crowded.
So happy Woodcutting!!!

I used this, and it worked really well.
it would be a good idea to cut yews when you are 70+ because it would be way faster
I think your yew part of your guide is a little wrong because we players would still have to walk up the stairs.
wow this whole website is asom
the best guide i think is the combat guide
3d anonymous is right the bank is upstairs. what about draynor bank?
This is a very good site, i like this woodcutting guide and it helped me alot.
heyy dude awsome guide im lvl 51 wc right now but ill soon be lvl 99 thanks to u guys :] this is also my runescape acc im a pure non member add me if u want to talk im on 24/7 so dont worry
great its awesome!! im level 43 now!
I would suggest that you go to a highly populated world. There is never anybody and the trees respawn much faster!!!
My rs name is stromm1 and I have 81 woodcutting , I have lots of patience but it takes 4 ever to get 1 yew log, idk what's wrong, I have a rune axe but it still takes 4 ever, please write back
I'm wondering if this works. I love this website but I'm deciding what to do, I checked woodcutting on runehq and it said when you reach lvl 60i should chop maples. Wight now I'm doing your guide, but I want to know If that is a good choice.
Cutting maples may be a good idea, but this guide is only for free to play. I am not a member, so I wouldn't know, but maples may be better. Also, just fyi, I am yerer0.
Great guide, but for yews i reccomend banking in draynor because there are no stairs.
ts totally coolie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yo guys rock! well my level is 44
i am an Indian and i have51 combat level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the combat guid really work
if u have an explorer's ring 3 u can cut yews at rimmington jus south of the maze
theres 4 yews there so theres almost always at least 1 still up. to bank jus tele to cabbage patch, run to draynor, bank, tele again, and run west-south-west to rimmington to cut again. your run will regeneatewhilecutting so dont need to worry bout that:D
I just want to let u know that the hatchets have decreased in price. I myself had bought my rune hatchet in 2007 for 20k, but it is now about 7k. Same for adamant(last time I checked, it was an unbelievable 500gp-1,500gp!) Don't know about the other hatchets. Oh, and for the guide, it's great! I found another really good place for yews though...
nice guide but you could of told us the profits we made altogether.
Great News Guys with the new dungeoneering skill maples are f29 (with lvl 30 dung)! you could start woodcutting them at lvl 55 wc for a lot more xp. the bad thing about this is i dont recommend banking them as theyre cheap and banking takes a long time
