Swamp tar has many benefits for the collecter, be him high or low levelled. For one thing, Swamp Tar is stackable (only takes up one place in your inventory screen) meaning you dont have to constantly run it and collect less and less and less as your run power slowly drains away. Another great thing about Swamp Tar is that it is not a very frequent price-changer on the Grand Exchange (the biggest change I recorded was only 10gp, meaning I made no less than what I was really making). You can be sure that your swamp tar sells as well, because players training there herblore need it for a constant source of exp. It is also a cheaper option compared to the price for some items on the market for herblore as well!
And, remember, all you have to do is PICK IT OFF THE GROUND!
Getting there is the easiest part: just cast home teleport. And from there, just follow the map below, starting from the castle courtyards. Click the image to enlarge it.

If you are there, you should see red dots on the minimap...thats the swamp tar. As you can see, its littered around everywhere, and all you have to do is pick it up off the ground! Remember, its stackable, so you can carry other items with you if you want.

You will be surprised to find out that the lumps of tar that you are picking up are worth around 190gp each (please check updated pricings for latest selling price), so if you collect enough you should be able to make an excess of 150K an hour!
Before you go and grab the Swamp Tar, remember that you wont become a millionare overnight. It will take about 10 hours of collecting to get 1M!!! But if you need your next rune or Dragon Armour set, and have invested the money you already own into an item for merchanting, skills, etc. than this should give you an adequate amount to make up for it (and make a few hundred K extra along the way!). Of course, you can do this seriously, and make an ecess of 200K an hour, but you have to be really quick!
670 X 194gp =130756gp
On a scale of 1 to five, 1 been the worst and 5 been the highest, this item ranks in at 4.5 for selling on the Grand Exchange at market price.
