Wealth -> Power -> Respect

The Site's New Feature & NPC Jobs!

Site's New Feature

Hello fellow readers! As you have noticed, this isn't the usual Runescape Millionaires Guide hompeage. Just like Runescape, we decided to start making changes with the content and appearance of our site.

We are happy to announce that from now on, the homepage of our site will feature new updates and tips on how you can make money, featuring mini-guides and videos from youtube. We will "post" these little articles often, because we will look daily for fresh content on how you can make money. The "posts" that we put up on our site's main page that contain the best of the best information on money making will receive a permanent place on the sidebar to the left where all the links are.

We hope you are happy with this new feature, and without further adieu, we move on to talk about the new jobs in Lumbridge!

Lumbridge NPC Jobs

To many of the new players who are starting Runescape, the most immediate and profitable money-making method may seem to be the new NPC jobs (jobs that the non-player characters of Runescape offer) that have started appearing around Runescape. It is true that new players can profit from the jobs (such as learning how to do things on Runescape and making money as well), but is it really worth the while doing these jobs?

I have decided to try on some of these jobs to see whether they are worthy to be a good source for brining in the gold, but the results saddened me deeply.

1st Job: Get 25 Leather Gloves
Time Taken: 10 minutes (killing cows, buying thread, tanning, crafting, and travel time)
Paid: 100GP

That was horrible. In the 10 minutes I spent making the 25 leather gloves, I could have collected a few hundred cowhides, which would have sold for 100GP EACH, instead of taking on this job which paid 100gp TOTAL. Not only that, but the NPCs who give these jobs pay at minimum value price that the Grand Exchange has. So you would make more money selling the items to the Grand Exchange rather than giving them to the NPC.

2nd Job: Get 26 Oak Logs
Time Taken: 2 Minutes
Paid: 624 GP

This job wasn't as bad as the 1st one I tried, but still pretty bad. In those two minutes I could have collected possibly 100 cowhides laying around cow fields and sold them for 120EA, giving me 12K instead of the mere 624GP I was paid for this job. And again, the payment I received was the minimum price of the Grand Exchange.

Bottom Line on why you shouldn't do NPC jobs:

  • You get more money selling the required items on the grand exchange
  • Tasks are tedious and time-consuming compared to the methods you'll find on this site
  • You are only allowed 6 jobs every hour
So if you were thinking of trying these new NPC Jobs, don't. Unless you are a new player seeking to learn the basic concepts of Runescape and want to make some spare change in the process, don't think about trying the NPC jobs.
