There has been a lot of F2P (Free Players) methods being updated on this site, and not much methods for the members to do. So here is a powerful method members can use in order to make tons of gold.

This method is commonly known as "Oak Planks" and it deals with you turning regular Oak Logs into Oak Planks. The catch is, it requires some time on your part, but in return you will receive BIG profits!

Money Requirements: At least 100k
Level/Skills Requirements: None

For this method, you will be turning Oak Logs into Oak Planks with the help of the Varrok Sawmill Operator. He is located North East of Varrok at the Lumber Yard, just before the Wilderness.

Here's how it works:

Start off by gathering the necessary materials, which is 500 Oak Logs. The Oak Logs cost 40 GP each, so it will cost you 20K for the Oak Logs. You can buy the Oak Logs on the GE for about 40 GP each, or if you want the experience, cut them.

The main expenditure lies in the sawmill operator, who charges 250 GP per oak log into oak plank. So you will need 125K to turn the oak logs into oak planks.

Once you have 500 Oak Logs, and 125K in your bank, head over to the Varrok East Bank. Save one spot to carry GP, and fill the rest of your inventory up with Oak Logs. Head east of the Bank until you see a road that splits north and south, go north. Keep going north along the road until you stumble upon a Lumber Yard.

Talk to the saw-mill operator there and ask if he could turn your Oak Logs into Oak Planks. He will charge you 250GP for each Log you wish to turn into a Plank, but don't worry! Even though you are spending 250GP for each Oak Log, once they are planks, you can sell them on the Grand Exchange for 600+ GP EACH!

Lets pull out our profits chart:

Amount of Oak Logs x Price of Each Oak Plank = Total Value

100 x 600+ = 6000gp+

500 x 600+ = 300000gp+

1000 x 600+ = 600,000GP+!

Oak Planks is something that is hot on the market due to players wanting to become better and construction and building their very own dream house. Therefore this method will stay hot for a long time, and ensure that you can make your first half a million GP using it!
