Wealth -> Power -> Respect

Delays

Hey guys. I've written up v7 of Shad's Billionaires Guide, but it doesn't seem like it's worth the money right now. In order to make sure you guys REALLY get your money's worth, I'm gonna spend another week making sure I find the best methods that will really give you a bang for your buck.

Again, I could launch v7 this weekend, but I don't think everyone would be 100% satisfied with the content. So to provide you with the quality that comes with Shad's Billionaires Guides, I'm going to launch it next week.

I apologize for any inconvenience, but I really want the quality of Shad's Billionaires Guides to meet everyone's full expectations.

Stay tuned for an announcement on the exact launch date.

Warmly,
Shad

Gathering Mort Myre Fungus

Background

Mort Myre fungus is used in the herblore skill to produce potions. It's difficult to get because there's only one special method used to collect it (described in this method).

You need to have the Nature Spirit quest completed in order to do this method. Completion of the Desert Treasure quest also helps to boost the hourly profits of doing this method. Finally, having a player owned house with a Canifis teleport also boosts the hourly profits of this method.

Method

Start off by purchasing about 20 Salmon fish (or other cheap food) for every hour you plan on doing this method. Also purchase House Teleport tablets if you have a Canifis portal in your house. Purchase 2-3 of the best Beast of Burden pouches you can use (2-3 for every hour you plan on doing this method). Purchase a 2-dose Zamorak Brew. Finally, purchase a silver sickle (b).

Teleport to Canifis. Equip any weight-reducing gear. Also equip your blessed sickle. In your inventory, withdraw a stack of house teleport tablets and 2-dose zamorak brew. Summon your beast of burden.

Start off by heading west from the bank. Then head southwest towards the gate leading to the swamp. Once you go through the gate, you'll notice two logs to the west. You will be doing the method on these two logs.

Right click "Cast-bloom" on your sickle. Pick the fungi that appear, and store them in your beast of burden as necessary. You will be using up prayer points with each "cast-bloom", so drink the zamorak brews as needed.

Once your inventory is full, you can teleport to your house. Use your houses's alter to recharge your prayer, and head back to Canifis. Bank the fungus at Canifis and repeat the process.

If you don't have a house, then you have to use Burgh-de-rott for your banking and prayer.

Profits

Profits coming up.

P2P Firemaking Skill Guide - Fast 1-99 Skilling Guide

Overview

Firemaking is a very tedious skill but actually surprisingly quick to level. It can be a slightly expensive skill to reach a 99 in but if you have reached 99 woodcutting and burn all your logs from there, it can be a cost-free and simple process.

Fire-making is great because it can be done whilst you are waiting for something to sell or buy, waiting for a friend to finish his herb run for just 5 minutes. I know many people that have done merchanting whilst training firemaking.

What to do

First things first, you need to head over to the Grand Exchange. This is where you will be burning the majority of your logs as it has a close bank and a long enough area to burn all 28 of your logs in one go. Buy a tinderbox, then right click it and click "Add to tool-belt". Now you can burn an extra log per inventory, this will help more than you think.

Quests that give Firemaking Experience

All Fired Up - 5,500xp
As a First Resort - 15,000xp
Enakhra's Lament - 7,000xp
Enlightened Journey - 4,000xp
Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf - 30,000xp
Fur 'n' Seek - 500xp
Heroes' Quest - 1,575xp
In Pyre Need - 14,400xp
Summer's End - 15,000xp
The Tale of the Muspah - 500xp
The Void Stares Back - 20,000xp

Method

Levels 1-15

Start off by getting 61 normal logs and burning them. They are fairly cheap to buy on the G.E but can be chopped down quite easily to save you a bit of cash.

Levels 15-30

Simply gather 183 oak logs and burn them. Once again, they are cheap to buy on the G.E but it isn't hard to chop a few inventories of oak's down.

Levels 30-45

Burn willow logs. You will need exactly 535 willow logs to reach Level 45. Willows are really cheap and you can normally buy them for 10-13gp each. Otherwise, you can again do some woodcutting to do this. Some people actually train to 99 using willows since they are a cheaper alternative but it is much longer to do. If you went from 30-99, it would take about 145k willow logs.

Levels 45-60

This is where it gets a little more expensive. You will need 1,573 maple logs to reach level 60. Maple's are the best medium-cost and decent xp giving log to burn to 99. If you choose to go from 45-99, then it will take 96k logs to do.

Levels 60-99

This section is for a slightly rich player. It takes exactly 63,016 logs to reach 99 in this. Yew's are expensive logs to burn so unless you have some serious cash to spare, then I would recommend doing Willows or Maples to Level 99.

Alternative but more expensive route

Levels 60-75

If you want to reach level 75 as quick as possible, then buy 4,626 yew logs and get started. If you want a cheaper yet moderately fast way, then burn 6,939 maple logs.

Levels 75-99

Burning magic logs is incredibly expensive but much faster than any other log. It takes 38,921 magic logs to reach 99. You may want to think twice before following this route as there are cheaper ways to do it.

The Cape

After reaching 99 in Firemaking you can get a skillcape from Ignatius Vulcan for 99,000gp. He is located in the Seers Village. I personally think that the cape is the best looking in the game, especially if you have more than one 99. The trim just makes it look even better. (:

Shad's Billionaires Guide v7 This Weekend

Hey guys. Just had my first set of midterms pass. Now I have some free time (last time was winter break). I'll be posting some money-making guides this week. Just posted one about collecting fungus and how that can make you almost 600K per hour.

I'll have more money-making guides posted up here shortly.

I also wanted to let you guys know that version 6 of SBG has been SOLD OUT. I did free updating for v6 already. So this Saturday you can expect SBG v7 with FRESH new content. I will still be having a clearance on v6 this week for anyone who wants to still grab a copy. The methods in v6 might become useful again in the future. This is the last week that v6 will be up for grabs, so you can get v6 this week for 25% off.

If you're part of the SBG Lifetime Membership Club, then v7 will be available to you a full 24 hours in advance (this Friday, February 10th). Otherwise, be here on Saturday for the release!

Thank you again to everyone for your support. I can't tell you how uncertain I was going into this when I first launched v1 of SBG. It's hard to believe that now we're approaching v7. You guys have been a great community, and I really love your faces.

- Shad
