P2P Items

Oak Planks
Reasoning: These are used as one of the main ways for training. Oak planks are used to make oak larders, which is the most efficient way to get from level 33 to 52 construction. They are also used to make Oak Dungeon Doors, which is the most efficient way to get from level 74 to 99 construction.

Mahogany Planks
Reasoning: These are used to make mahogany tables. Constructing mahogany tables is the most efficient way to get from level 52 to 74 construction, and some people even use it to get from 52 to 99 construction.

F2P Items

Oak Logs
Reasoning: They are used to make Oak Planks (see above).

Mahogany Logs
Reasoning: They are used to make Mahogany Planks (see above).

Update Analysis: God Statues

In the most recent Runescape behind the scenes, they announced upcoming God Statues. This update makes use of the construction skill and gives you some handsome construction experience (as seen from the +20,000 exp granted after completing one of the actions). This Runescape update will let you take your constructions skills outside of your personal POH area.

Since there were many different tiers of statues shown in the video, you can assume that the higher your construction level, the better statues that you can construct. Some of them might have some crazy good effects (as mentioned, some statues will grant prayer experience). This might get a lot of people's interest, and people might start training their construction level.

I predict an increase in price with items related to construction-related items, mainly the ones used for training. The demand for construction related items will depend on how useful these statues are. If they really do grant some nice prayer experience, then people will be more willing to train to get these statues.
