P2P Firemaking Skill Guide - Fast 1-99 Skilling Guide

Overview

Firemaking is a very tedious skill but actually surprisingly quick to level. It can be a slightly expensive skill to reach a 99 in but if you have reached 99 woodcutting and burn all your logs from there, it can be a cost-free and simple process.

Fire-making is great because it can be done whilst you are waiting for something to sell or buy, waiting for a friend to finish his herb run for just 5 minutes. I know many people that have done merchanting whilst training firemaking.

What to do

First things first, you need to head over to the Grand Exchange. This is where you will be burning the majority of your logs as it has a close bank and a long enough area to burn all 28 of your logs in one go. Buy a tinderbox, then right click it and click "Add to tool-belt". Now you can burn an extra log per inventory, this will help more than you think.

Quests that give Firemaking Experience

As a First Resort - 15,000xp
Enakhra's Lament - 7,000xp
Enlightened Journey - 4,000xp
Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf - 30,000xp
Fur 'n' Seek - 500xp
Heroes' Quest - 1,575xp
In Pyre Need - 14,400xp
Summer's End - 15,000xp
The Tale of the Muspah - 500xp
The Void Stares Back - 20,000xp

Method

Levels 1-15

Start off by getting 61 normal logs and burning them. They are fairly cheap to buy on the G.E but can be chopped down quite easily to save you a bit of cash.

Levels 15-30

Simply gather 183 oak logs and burn them. Once again, they are cheap to buy on the G.E but it isn't hard to chop a few inventories of oak's down.

Levels 30-45

Burn willow logs. You will need exactly 535 willow logs to reach Level 45. Willows are really cheap and you can normally buy them for 10-13gp each. Otherwise, you can again do some woodcutting to do this. Some people actually train to 99 using willows since they are a cheaper alternative but it is much longer to do. If you went from 30-99, it would take about 145k willow logs.

Levels 45-60

This is where it gets a little more expensive. You will need 1,573 maple logs to reach level 60. Maple's are the best medium-cost and decent xp giving log to burn to 99. If you choose to go from 45-99, then it will take 96k logs to do.

Levels 60-99

This section is for a slightly rich player. It takes exactly 63,016 logs to reach 99 in this. Yew's are expensive logs to burn so unless you have some serious cash to spare, then I would recommend doing Willows or Maples to Level 99.

Alternative but more expensive route

Levels 60-75

If you want to reach level 75 as quick as possible, then buy 4,626 yew logs and get started. If you want a cheaper yet moderately fast way, then burn 6,939 maple logs.

Levels 75-99

Burning magic logs is incredibly expensive but much faster than any other log. It takes 38,921 magic logs to reach 99. You may want to think twice before following this route as there are cheaper ways to do it.

The Cape

After reaching 99 in Firemaking you can get a skillcape from Ignatius Vulcan for 99,000gp. He is located in the Seers Village. I personally think that the cape is the best looking in the game, especially if you have more than one 99. The trim just makes it look even better. (:

Thieving Master Farmers

Background

Required Level: 38
Recommended Level: 50
Hourly Thieving Exp: 26,000 at level 50 and 36,000 at level 70.

Pickpocketing Master Farmers provides for an excellent source of seeds, which are essential for the farming skill. Even though a lot of the seeds that you obtain from the farmers are junk, you can still get expensive seeds like ranaar and watermelon. With the frequency of these expensive seeds each hour, you can make a good bit of money.

Since Draynor has a bank with farmers nearby, it's a good place to pickpocket farmers for their seeds.

Method

Start off by purchasing 5 gloves of silence for every hour that you plan on doing this method. These gloves increases your chances of thieving.

Then go to edgeville. Equip a glove of silence. Also equip a weapon, because if you accidentally attack a farmer, it will help you kill the farmer faster.

From here, all you have to do is loot the farmer. If you run low on health, you can go to the nearby bank to eat some food (for this, you can buy some cheap food ahead of time). Since seeds are stackable, it's unlikely that you will need to use the bank to store the seeds.

Keep some food in your inventory. So when you get stunned, you can use that time to eat food and heal yourself.

Profits

The profits of this method depend based on your thieving level. We will show two profit variants for this method. The intermediate variant assumes that you have 50 thieving, and the other one is the advanced variant which assumes that you have level 70 thieving.

Intermediate

This variant assumes that you have 50 thieving.

And you also get 26K thieving exp per hour if you do this method with 50 thieving.

Advanced

This variant assumes that you have 70 thieving.

And you also get 36k thieving exp per hour.

Making Ardougne Teleport Tablets

Background

Required Levels: 51 Magic and 47 Construction
Hourly Magic Experience: 43,000

Many players use teleport tablets (teletabs) as a means of travel throughout Runescape. They only take up one inventory space, as opposed to the 2-3 spaces you would need to normally cast a teleportation spell from your spell book. Teletabs also allow you teleport to places that might not be covered in your current spell book - Varrock teleport with the ancients spell book for instance.

For this reason, teleporation tablets are always in demand. Making them requires patience, and specific skills. Therefore, this is a good method to make money in Runescape! This method will teach you how to profit and gain magic experience while creating Ardougne Teleport Tablets in your player owned house.

Method

Before buying anything, you want to make sure you have the proper setup in your player owned house. In your house teleporation options, make sure you have it set so you arrive inside your house when you cast house teleport.

Build a Study room right next to the entrance portal. Inside the study room, build any type of Eagle lectern. Next to the study room, build a means of teleporation by having either a Portal Chamber with a falador portal OR a Quest Hall with a mounted glory amulet (teleports to edgeville). Both of these locations have a close bank.

If you have a summoning familiar and charms lying around in your bank, build a menagerie with a mini-obelisk near your study. This will allow you to recharge your summoning points.

Once you have your house set up, it's time to get the supplies. For every hour that you plan on doing this method, get around 700 Soft Clay, Law Runes, and 20 House Teleport Tablets. If you plan on using a summoning familiar, purchase those supplies as well.

At a bank, summon your familiar if you have one. Withdraw and equip a Staff of Water - without this, you cannot make Ardougne teleport tablets. Withdraw your stack of house teleportation tablets, and law runes. Withdraw soft clay and deposit them into your familiar, then withdraw more soft clay to fill up your inventory.

Teleport to your house and make all of your soft clay into ardougne teleportation tablets. Once you're done, teleport using the mounted glory amulet or teleportation portal that you have set up in the adjacent room. Bank the tablets and repeat the process.

Profits

And remember, you also get 43K Magic experience per hour!
