It takes a considerable ammount of time to gain EP. Many find that earning EP while being AFK (away from keyboard) or just sitting down leaves them very vulnerable to other players' special attacks. There have been stories of where people were wearing their 13M PvP gear, just sitting down in the wilderness to gain some EP. The next thing they know, someone uses the Dark Bow special and hits them for 45-45 damage. The player dies, and loses his 13M within the blink of an eye.
This guide will demonstrate the safe and effective way to gain EP in Bounty and PvP Worlds so you don't die from other player's special attacks or freezing spells while trying to gain EP.
You will first need to get some armor that is relatively cheap, and has a good defense bonus for both melee and mage.
Here is a good armor build build:

- Rune Full Helmet
- Black D'hide Body (Green for F2P)
- Best Hide Chaps and Boots
- Rune Plate Legs
- Amulet of Glory (or Defence for F2P)
Head towards the Dark Wizard's area located in level 6 wilderness. Directions from Edgeville shown below:
(Click to enlarge)Once you are there, the wizards will begin to attack you. And while they are attacking you, no one else can attack you!

Furthermore, there are so many wizards already there, that if someone tries to kill the wizard that is attacking you, he will be attacked by another wizard. This makes it really hard for anyone to attack you or take you out with special attacks.
Make sure you have auto-retaliate off so that you don't automatically attack the wizards. This method will almost always keep you safe from the special attacks for other PKers, but be safe. Bring some food incase a large clan comes and starts killing off all the wizards until they can attack you. You can also bring a teleport to be super-safe.
So before you go PvPing next time, check your EP percentage. If it's low, you should charge it up so your loot could potentially be worth MILLIONS! Use this safe and effective method for gaining EP and watch your PvP kills make you more money.
